Dane VanOosten is a dedicated public servant with a distinguished background in military and civil service. A graduate of Polo High School, Dane enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2003. During his six years of service in the Marine Corps infantry, he completed two combat deployments to Iraq in 2004 and 2006, demonstrating unwavering commitment and resilience in challenging environments.

After completing his military service, Dane continued to serve his community as a correctional officer from 2011 to 2019, where he played a vital role in maintaining safety and order. In 2019, he transitioned to a new role as a Highway Maintainer, where he remains employed, contributing to the upkeep and safety of public infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Dane has exemplified dedication, discipline, and a strong sense of duty and values that have defined his service both in and out of uniform.
