Trevor is an active duty US Army Special Forces soldier, Green Beret, husband, and father. He is also a strong advocate for mental health and trauma awareness. Through personal stories steeped in vulnerability and determination, Trevor serves as a beacon of hope for those on a similar journey to overcome pain and heal from trauma. Ultimately, Trevor inspires others to find happiness, growth, and purpose. For his own personal healing, he connects to the energy of life through live music and the ocean.

I was born on 02 September 1980. I lived in Glenview, IL from 1988 until 1999 after graduating from High School I moved to West Lafayette, IN to attend Purdue University. I graduated in 2006 with a degree in History. In 2016 I graduated from the National Defense University with a master's in strategic studies.

I have been married since December 2009 and have two children, a daughter 9 and a son 7 and we live in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida which is in the Panhandle.

I am an avid Spearfisherman, Outdoorsman, Live Music lover and Magic: The Gathering card player.

I joined the Army reserves 08 December 2000, switched to the Indiana National Guard 151 LRSD in 2003 and stayed until April 2007 when I went on active duty to go to Special Forces (SF) selection and qualification course. I graduated from the SF Green Berets course in November 2009 and then was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg until 2017. I was an instructor at the US Army Dive School in Key West, Florida from July 2017-October 2020. SOCOM November 2020- June 2022Currently working at 7th Special Forces Group in the Destin Florida area since July 2022 and working in the Diver sustainment detachment.

Deployments: 2004-2005 Afghanistan: 12 months, 2010 Afghanistan 8 months, 2011 Afghanistan 9 months, 2012-2013 Afghanistan 7 months, 2014 Afghanistan 1 month
2016-2017 Burkina Faso,West Africa 3 months

Military operational Skill (MOS): After the SF qualification course I worked as an 18E: Special Forces Communicator, I worked with radios and computers. When I was promoted in 2019 to Master Sergeant (MSG/E-8) my MOS changed to 18Z which is a special forces operations sergeant. This job is the Non-commissioned officer (NCO) leader of the Operational Detachment Alpha or ODA.

Current Rank / Title: Master Sergeant (MSG) enlisted pay rate of E-8: Master Sergeant Beaman would be my official title. I currently have 22 years of service and 18 1/2 years on Active duty.

Trauma Background:
Sexual abuse from age 8-16 from stepfather
Three suicide attempts 1992, 2015, 2019.
Three admittances to psychological wards for Depression, PTSD, TBI,
Alcohol abuse 1999-2019. 2019 I diagnosed with alcohol abuse disorder.
Substance abuse intravenous Nubain (synthetic opioid) 2012-2014, Tramadol and oxycodone 2011-2014.
Multiple loss of friends from suicide and from Global War on Terror (GWOT)
Afghan soldiers and civilians died who were close to me.
Then taking of human lives during Afghanistan and Burkina Faso Deployments
Moral injuries

September 2019 Completed a 60 plus day multipath rehab inpatient.
20 years of physiotherapy and social workers starting in 1996
July 2021: Six ketamine infusions in Chicago
July 2021: Stella Ganglion Block, left and right side in Chicago
